The ignition switch on the One thousand nine hundred ninety three Toyota Camry bolts to the top of the steering path. To change the switch, you must disassemble the steering border. Instructions
1. Remove the bad ("-") battery cable from the battery with a wrench. Wait at least Two minutes before proceeding To admit the Camry's ECM to disengage the airbag action.
2. Lower the steering column to its lowest position using the heighth adjuster on the backside of the borderline.
6. Place the new ignition switch on the steering column, and secure it using the four screws and the screwdriver.7.
Place the gray ignition switch on the top of the contour, and remove the wiring harness plugged into the back of the switch.
5. Remove the four retaining screws that ownership the Camry's ignition onto the string with a screwdriver. Discard the old ignition.
3. Remove the screws from the backside of the steering column shroud, and pull the shroud off the wrinkle.4.
Plug the harness into the new ignition switch.
8. Place the shroud over the steering column, and secure it using the screws and screwdriver.
9. Reconnect the negative battery cable to the battery.
