Prepare the mold, spraying a mold release agent into the mold with a spray gun. Allow the mold release agent to cure for at least one hour. Spray the mold again, coating it with a layer of gel coat applied with a spray gun. Allow the gel coat to cure for at least two hours.


8. Place a sheet of fiberglass cloth into the mold with the edges of the cloth protruding from the mold by at least Two inches. Prepare your fiberglass resin according to the manufacturer's directions. Gaze the mould and fill in any imperfections with entity filler. Sand unabridged areas with a medium-grit sandpaper until smooth.

Repeat again, creating at least four layers of fiberglass cloth within the mold.


10. Smooth the fiberglass resin and cloth with a plastic putty knife, forcing any trapped air bubbles to the edge of the mold. Allow the fiberglass resin to cure for at least three hours.


11. Pull the cured fiberglass fender out of the mold. Trim off excess fiberglass cloth with scissors, or use an air cutter to chop off hardened excess material. Inspect the fender's surface and prepare the fender for painting by filling in any imperfections with body filler.
