Vintage Times Car Club
Vintage Times Car Club sponsors the North Shore Rod Run each July. This three-day event includes a barbeque picnic, sand castle-building contest, cash bar, sock hop car show and afternoon hot rod run. The hot rod map is a tightly veiled mystery until an hour prior to the event. A safety inspection is conducted of all participating vehicles prior to the start of the run. Prizes for the hot rod driver with the best "poker hand" are given at the conclusion of this highly anticipated annual event. A parade of vehicles is held on the final day of the event, which leads drivers and spectators to the picnic area.
