Replace A Ford 1994 F150 Gas Tank

Removing the Fuel Tank


1. Agape the hood to access the battery. Disconnect the colorless terminal on the battery.

16. Tighten all four strap bolts. Ensure the tank is securely held in place.


17.Pour at least five gallons of gasoline into the tank.


18. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.


19. Turn the ignition key to the "start" position. Allow it to stay in that position for at least five seconds. Turn the key to the "off" position. Turn it to the "start" position a second time. This will engage the fuel pump to send fuel through the fuel line.


20. Start the truck to listen to the idle. The truck should not stall or hesitate when pressing down the accelerator pedal.
