Engine
The Two thousand six Brabus CLS V12 S Rocket was powered by a front longitudinal mounted, Brabus twin-turbo V12 380.4 cubic inch, (6.3 litre), unmarried overhead cam engine with Thirty six valves. The engine was based on the Mercedes 600-series 12-cylinder powerplant. The bi-turbo, intercooled Engine featured an enlarged cylinder Muzzle and larger tubochargers with appropriate sport camshafts, crankshaft and earmarked Shod pistons. The Brabus Rocket was the environment's fastest street-legal sedan. It was a regional Industry ultra-performance machine based on the Mercedes-Benz CLS series. According to Brabus' press Proceeds, in Oct 2006, under the strict supervision of the German Practical Inspection Agency, the Brabus Rocket fix the universe's list of Two hundred twenty seven mph (365.7 kilometres per lifetime) at the noted high-speed Hand-bill track in Nardo, Italy.
The intake and exhaust manifolds' example allowed optimized airflow. The Engine and full drivetrain utilized high-performance lubricants developed by Brabus' technology Companion ARAL. The engine was electronically programmed to accomplish maximum force output while all the more affair European emission limits.
Performance
The Brabus Rocket produced Seven hundred thirty horsepower at 5,100 rotations per minute and had a torque output of Eight hundred twelve foot-pounds at 2,100 rpm. The van's top rapidity was electronically resident to 217.525 mph To admit it to persist street-legal. The Rocket was one of the earth's fastest accelerating cars. It went from Cipher to One hundred kmh in Four seconds, Nada to Two hundred kmh in 10.5 seconds and Naught to Three hundred kmh in 29.5 seconds.
Chassis
The Brabus Rocked four-door sedan had a unit-steel protest and frame with a modified five-speed automatic transmission and locking differential. The steering was by AMG's power-assisted stand and Driving-wheel transaction. The automobile's fresh high-performance stainless-steel, four-pipe exhaust system used low back-pressure metal catalysts. The Rocket featured height adjustable suspension and rebound adjustable gas shocks. The front suspension was by four-link Macpherson struts with multi-link rear suspension. The front 14.8-inch vented ceramic disc brakes had 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers on the front axle. The rear axle featured six-piston caliper 14-inch steel disc brakes. To accommodate the oversized brakes, the Rocket used 19-inch Brabus Monoblock light-alloy wheels.
Aerodynamics
The Brabus Rocket featured many custom-developed body components, fine-tuned and wind tunnel tested. The features reduced front axle lift, optimized aerodynamic drag and improved the car's directional stability. The car's front apron design reduced turbulence and contained functional air inlets for cooling the oil and water radiators. The front spoiler and rear spoiler lip along with the integrated rear fascia apron reduced lift while improving airflow over the car's body. The streamlined rocker panels further improved the car body's drag coefficient.
