The manifold absolute impulse sensor, or MAP sensor, is used To gauge the immensity of air flowing over the intake process and into the engine. The sensor sends airflow scale news to the Honda engine dominion unit, or ECU, which can then adjust the air-to-fuel ratio for optimum fuel combustion. Over epoch, the Honda MAP sensor can emerge as blacken with contaminates or dust in the air. When this happens you'll exigency To cleanse the sensor.
Instructions
1.3. Remove the screws holding the MAP sensor in place and remove the sensor.4.
2. Remove the electrical plug running to the MAP sensor. Squeeze the Proceeds tab on the top of the plug and pull the connector off.
Extensive the hood and allot the MAP sensor. Honda MAP sensors are located near the intake manifold. The exact direction varies depending on the year and mould of Honda. The sensor itself is a bitty livid box.
Turn the sensor upside down on a flat surface so that the sensor end of the MAP sensor is exposed.
5. Spray the sensor liberally with electronic parts cleaner. Remove any visible signs of dust or other contaminates. The electronic parts cleaner will evaporate, so there is no need to wipe it down.
6. Re-install the MAP sensor. Installation is the reverse of removal.
