Install An Egr Valve & Vacuum Lines Inside A Ford Expedition

The exhaust Gauze recirculation operation (EGR) on a Ford Expedition is a bite of the emissions manner, and helps make sure a added integrated burning by recirculating atom of the exhaust gases into the intake manifold. Should it fail, the "Probation Engine" ablaze Testament be illuminated and the engine Testament break poorly. To set the hitch, you want to convert the EGR valve and the vacuum lines primary to it from the engine.

Instructions

2. Docket the vacuum lines attached to the EGR valve using the masking tape and a permanent marker, so that you can reconnect the vacuum lines correctly. Pull off the vacuum lines connecting the EGR valve to the manifolds with your fingers.3.

1. Up thrust the hood and remove the intake tubing from the throttle intent using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket and establish it aside. Allot the EGR valve, which is on the top of the engine near the throttle object.

Unbolt the EGR valve from the intake manifold using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Remove the valve and clean the mounting surface on the intake manifold with a wire brush.

4. Install the replacement EGR valve on the intake manifold using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Connect the replacement vacuum lines to the EGR valve and the manifolds with your fingers. Reinstall the air intake tubing to the throttle body using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket.
