The thermostat in your One thousand nine hundred ninety five Chevy 3.4 L pickup is designed to garner the engine from overheating. When the engine reaches a firm temperature, the thermostat allows coolant to flow down the engine, where it can absorb heat. The coolant then flows back into the radiator, where it releases the heat. The 1995 Chevy pickups dispense relatively basic access to the thermostat--most amateur mechanics should be able to organic this project in less than an lifetime.
Instructions
1. Let your One thousand nine hundred ninety five Chevy 3.4L pickup frosty for at least four hours. Cleared the hood. Place the thermostat housing. The housing is located where the radiator hose meets the intake manifold.
2. Remove the three bolts securing the thermostat housing to the intake manifold. Remove the housing encompass. Remove the gasket underneath the housing cover.
It will only fit one way, so you do not need to worry about installing it backwards.4. Place the new gasket around the housing and press down to seal it in place.5.3. Pull the thermostat out of the housing. Replace it with the new thermostat.
Replace the thermostat housing cover and tighten the bolts with an adjustable wrench.
6. Start the truck and let it warm up. Check the temperature gauge frequently to make sure the new thermostat is working properly.
