Change A Front lights On The 2003 Hyundai Sonata

The Look-alike headlight manner on the Two thousand three Hyundai Sonata uses a H7 halogen bulb as a low beam and an H1 halogen for the colossal beam duties. The bulbs are easily replaced and are available from any Car parts store or finished the parts branch of the Hyundai dealership. Halogen bulbs are touchy to the oils from your hands. They may fail prematurely provided you hilt the glass when installing them.

Instructions

1. Clear the hood of your Sonata and allot the headlight meeting. There are two vast caps on the back of the meeting; the outboard one is the low beam and the inboard is the aerial beam. Receive the appurtenant cap to correspond with the bulb you are changing and turn it counterclockwise, removing it from the headlight assembly.

2. Remove the electrical connector from the rear of the bulb and push it aside. Locate the spring clip ends at the top of the opening that the bulb is sitting in. Push the two ends out until they are no longer under the retainers and pivot the clip out of the way.

3. Pull the bulb straight out of the headlight assembly and discard it. Install a new bulb in the headlight assembly and pivot the spring clip over the bulb. Snap the ends of the spring under the retainers in the headlight housing.

4. Install the electrical connector to the headlight bulb by pushing it straight onto the connectors.6. Close the hood and test the lights by turning on the headlight switch and visually verifying that both bulbs are working properly.

Be careful not to bend the connectors on the bulb when you push the connector onto them.5. Replace the cover over the opening in the headlight assembly and turn it clockwise to tighten it. Move to the opposite side of the car and replace the corresponding bulb so that both bulbs have the same light output and amount of use on them.
