Instructions

3. Make sure the seller fills out the 'new keeper details' of the Registration Certificate V5C if this is the documentation they have. Again, both you and the seller must sign section Eight and the seller must forward the details onto the DVLA. If you have not received your registration certificate within six weeks, contact your local DVLA office.
6. Check that all your details are correct upon receipt of the new registration certificate.
7. Remember to inform the DVLA if any changes need to be made to your vehicle registration certificate during the course of your ownership, if your vehicle is written off or sold.
