Instructions
1. Remove the existing exhaust tips if your Dodge truck already has them installed. These might be held on with a strap that tightens the tips around the exhaust pipe or with screws or bolts that tighten the tip against the exhaust.3. Tighten the supplied hardware for the tip so that the tip is secured against the exhaust pipe. Depending on the type of exhaust tip you purchase, it may be fastened with screws or bolts that go through the tip and tighten against the exhaust or there may be a strap on the end of the tip that has a bolt on it. Tightening the bolt in turn tightens the strap on the tip around the exhaust pipe.
Slide the new exhaust tip over the exhaust pipe until it is in the proper orientation. The tip should not be sticking out of the rear of the truck excessively, nor should it be located under the truck. The best position is one in which the tip protrudes just past the end of the truck.
If the tips are welded on, use a cutting tool like an angle grinder or a hacksaw to cut them off, or have an exhaust shop cut them off for you.2. Clean the exhaust pipe with degreaser and a rag.
