Wire The Audio Harness

Wiring a vehivle audio harness speeds and simplifies intellect unit installations.

Instructions


6. Snap the aftermarket harness' female connector to the male harness protruding from the vehicle's dash. Reinstall the radio and dash components as needed.



3. Strip 1/4 inch of insulation from the ends of both harnesses.


4. Crimp a 16-gauge connector to each wire on the radio's harness.


5. Slide the corresponding wires from the aftermarket harness into the other end of the crimp connectors. Crimp them in place using the crimp tool.


1. Remove the radio's wire harness, provided the abundance is even attached to the back of the radio.2. Match up the aftermarket's harness with the radio's harness. Consult the radio and aftermarket harness manuals to reconcile the colour matching (they're contradistinct based on model).
