The Jamie S. Rivera event is held in the city of Agawam, another border town to Connecticut. The event commemorates the life of Jamie S. Rivera, who lost his battle to stomach cancer in 2007. For the past three years, the organizers of the event have invited classic and rare owners to Agawam High School. Pioneer Valley GTO Association Annual Classic Car Show
A major organizer for car related events in Western Massachusetts is the Pioneer Valley GTO Association. Besides the dozens of car events held throughout the region and year, the GTO Association puts on a classic car show for charity. For the past Twelve years, the association has organized an event that brings classic GTO cars to Western Massachusetts.
