Instructions
1. Make sure the engine is completely cool. Fill the cooling system with the appropriat type and amount of coolant. Start the engine and let it run for several minutes. Check systems to make sure the thermostat is working properly.
Take off the bolts and set them aside. Remove the feed pipe.
3. Take out the thermostat and the retaining sleeve. Note the orientation of the sleeve for correct positioning during the installation. Make a scribe mark as needed.
4. Install the new thermostat and its retaining sleeve. Push the dimple into the housing slot.
5. Coat the O-ring with coolant or soapy water. Install the O-ring to the water pump.
6. Set the water pump feed pipe in place to connect the thermostat housing and the water pump. Install the water pump feed pipe bolt. Torque the bolt to Eighteen inch lbs.
