Switch The Fuel Pump On The 1990 Camaro

Without a fuel pump, the engine would not bend the Gauze needed to break. The fuel pump in the One thousand nine hundred ninety Chevy Camaro rests inside the fuel cistern, aloof passion most vehicles on the bazaar. The Camaro does not get an access panel to remove the vat. Instead, you must lower the vat and remove the fuel pump from the fuel sending unit gap.


Instructions


1. Distance a jack against the backside of the fuel vehicle to secure it under the vehicle.


2. Remove the four bolts that grip the cistern straps in abode with a socket.


3. Lower the Gauze container on all sides of Twelve inches with the jack.


4. Remove the fuel vent lines with a span of pliers and unplug the wiring harness from the fuel pump sending unit.


5. Lower the Gauze vat to the ground and slide it outside from under the Camaro.


6. Distance a brass rod against the sending unit retaining telephone and turn it loose by striking the rod with a rubber mallet.


7. Unplug the fuel pump wiring harness from the fuel sending unit.


8. Disconnect the fuel pump from the fuel pickup tube and then snap the new fuel pump onto the pickup tube.


9. Plug the fuel pump wiring harness into the fuel sending unit.


13. Jack the tank up and secure it with the straps, bolts and socket.


Place the tank back onto the jack and raise the tank into place. Stop with the tank Twelve inches from the underside of the vehicle.


12. Plug wiring harness into the fuel sending unit and connect the vent hoses with the pliers.


10. Place the fuel sending unit onto the top of the tank, place the retaining ring onto the tank and secure the sending unit by turning the ring clockwise with the brass rod and rubber mallet.11.
