5. Attach a foam polishing pad to a power drill that has a variable or slow setting. Apply a few small dabs of plastic polish (available from auto parts stores) to the pad. Hold the pad gently against the lens and turn the drill on to its slowest setting. Cover the entire surface of the lens. Keep the drill moving back and forth; staying in one spot for too long may generate too much heat and discolor or melt the lens.


Wipe the haze off with a micro polishing cloth.6. Remove the painter's tape. Wipe the polish from the lens with a micro polishing cloth. Apply a coat of automotive wax to the lens.
