Bang Kart Racing
Kart racing is one of the most active forms of Engine sports and Iowans flock to the sport in droves Everyone weekend. As a primer for the uninitiated, there are three leading racing types in karting, sidewalk system plan racing, indoor concrete racing and dirt oval racing. Dirt Oval Racing

Pavement Road Course Racing
Sidewalk method progression kart racing is sometimes referred to "dash racing." Karts are raced on indefinite asphalt means courses combining both right and left hand turns, hairpins and straightaways. The length of these tracks can be quite long, and range in distance from a 1/4 of a mile to over one mile, creating lap times of two minutes or more per circuit. Kart types are similar to dirt racing and offer spec divisions up to shifter karts. Ages for participants start at Eight years and range up to "masters" divisions. Concrete Indoor Racing
Indoor kart racing is executed in large enclosed buildings and typically offer concrete floors. Depending on the size of the facility, track configurations can range from 1/4 of a mile to nearly one mile in length. Until recently, there were three indoor kart racing facilities in the state of Iowa, but two of them have recently closed up shop. So if you want to race indoors, as of 2010, there's only Joe's Karting in Council Bluffs.

These facilities gamut in immensity from the 1/10-mile to the larger 1/2-mile track. Oval kart Accoutrement ranges from constant spec karts to highly sophisticated and identical breakneck shifter karts.
