Cut Flexible Radiator Hose

Supple radiator hoses sanction the coolant inside your motorcar to be circulated between the engine block and the radiator. Having a Supple hose, rather than a hard setting or coupling, allows for radiators to be easily changed away and serviced when needed. These hoses are normally held in corner by a team of hose clamps at either extreme. Remove the radiator cap from the engine by turning counterclockwsie.2. Bleed the radiator. Otherwise, when you cut the flexible radiator hose, coolant will spill everywhere.

Instructions

To drain the radiator, place a drain pan underneath the radiator drain plug located at the bottom of the radiator. Unscrew the plug, using the pliers if needed. Allow the coolant inside to drain.


3. Loosen the hose clamps at either end of the flexible radiator hose. These may either unscrew, or need to be pinched shut with a pair of pliers before they can be removed.


4. Insert a new blade into the utility knife.


5. Slice the radiator hose along the axis of the hose. Pull the flexible radiator hose off the connections to the radiator and the engine.
