All three trims levels come with a tachometer standard, but only the top-of-the-line LX comes with cruise control and a tilt steering wheel.
Ford offered the One thousand nine hundred ninety five Windstar with two different V6 engines. The cargo van version of the Windstar came with a 3.0-liter V6 that produced One hundred forty seven horsepower at 5,050 RPM and One hundred seventy nine ft-lbs. of torque at 3,500 RPM. The larger 3.8-liter V6 came in the GL and LX models and produced One hundred fifty five horsepower at 5,050 RPM and Two hundred twenty ft-lbs. of torque at 3,500 RPM. Both engines were matched with a four-speed automatic transmission. The 3.0-liter engine has been rated at Twenty five miles per gallon on the highway and Eighteen miles per gallon in the city, while the 3.8-liter engine has been rated at Twenty four miles per gallon on the highway and Seventeen miles per gallon in the city.
Exterior
All of the Windstars come with two front doors and a single sliding door in the rear. The cargo van weighs 3,545 pounds and the GL and LX weigh 3,733 pounds. The van measures 201.2 inches long, but has a wheelbase that is 120.7 inches long. The van measures 75.4 inches wide and Sixty eight inches long. The van uses its rack and pinion steering to achieve a turning diameter of 40.3 feet.
Interior
The cargo van Windstar seats only two passengers, with the rest of the interior reserved for cargo. The other two trim levels seat seven passengers.
The year One thousand nine hundred ninety five decided the aboriginal year of Industry for Ford's Windstar automobile borderline. The machine came in three trim levels; the cargo van occupied the bottom, the GL the middle and the LX the top of the line.
