Remove A Jeep'S Front Shocks

Instructions

3. Place a socket on the bolt head that secures the upper half of the shock to the shock brace on the shock tower.5. Push the through bolt through the shock tower, shock and then through the backside of the shock tower. Thread the nut onto the bolt and then tighten it into place using the socket, ratchet and wrench.



Place a wrench onto the nut that secures the bolt. Turn the nut off the bolt and then pull the bolt free from the shock tower.4. Pull the shock out of the suspension and then place the new shock into the suspension.


6. Push the other through bolt through the shock brace, shock and then through the backside of the shock brace. Thread the nut onto the bolt and then tighten it into place using the socket, ratchet and wrench.


7. Place the wheel back onto the Jeep, secure it using the lug nuts and tire iron. Jack the Jeep up, remove the jack stand and then lower the vehicle to the ground. Double-check the lug nuts for tightness.


8. Repeat the process on the passenger side shock.
